I'm a 2007 graduate from Buckeye high school in Medina. I was involved in plenty of extracurricular activities such as sports and student organizations. After graduation, my plans were to play baseball at the University of Ashland where I was offered a scholarship that would cover almost all of my tuition, room & board, meal plan, etc. A life changing event prohibited me from playing collegiate baseball, so I took classes at Cuyahoga Community College for a year. I then transferred to Kent State at the start of the 2008 Fall semester where I met Ben Kitchen, who invited me to hang out at DU. After I received my bid, I had no intentions on joining at all. But after I discussed it with a few people, one week later, I decided to pledge. After the first meeting, I did not think that DU was the right thing for me at all and I nearly depledged. But then I was nominated, then elected as class president and my care for the fraternity grew tremendously. Eight weeks later, on November 22, 2008, I was initiated along with thirteen other guys who helped me along the way: Craig Haas, Josh Broshious, Jeff Hammond, Joey Andulics, Logan Gillen, Steve Eickelman, Matt Estro..., Drew Patenaude, Nader Hassan, Seth Bumgarner, Tyler Crock, Mike Potocar, and Antonio Bucca. Today, I'm studying pharmaceutical sales while majoring in marketing.... Thank you Brittany Hardy for the heads up haha (inside joke)
